Mall dream meaning analysis

I’ve got to admit. One of the easiest dreams to forget when you wake up in the morning involves things that you see on a regular basis.

You have to keep this in mind when trying to determine a mall dream meaning. Most people wouldn’t even remember dreaming of being at the mall because it’s such a common experience.

Something dramatic has to have happened to you as you go through the mall in your dream for you to even remember it. But assuming that a mall took center stage in your dream, you’d be surprised as to how rich in meaning this dream is.

What Does It Mean to Dream of a Mall?

To dream of a shopping mall reflects our preferences in life and our ability to make choices. It also reflects access to certain results, realities, and goods.

All of these revolve around choices. They involve decision-making skills in our waking life.

Your ability to make choices in turn is a reflection of how you’re able to influence other people’s opinions.

Now, this might sound like some sort of roundabout way of defining your ability to buy things, but this is actually an accurate way of viewing your capacity to purchase stuff.

Think of it this way. If your influence or ability to produce good, first impressions is lousy, people are probably not going to hire you. If you work for yourself or you have a business, people are probably not going to be your customers.

Your ability to influence other people is a very powerful part of who you are.

Sadly, so many of us neglect this part of our persona, and that’s why we suffer. We feel like we’re stuck in a certain reality that we can’t move on from.

This Dream Is About Facing So Many Choices

Dream symbols about shopping mall environments or designs mean that you are faced with a lot of choices. The central motif is choice.

And your subconscious is trying to gain your attention to the fact that you have to make the best decision given your circumstances.

This is not always easy. After all, we’re creatures of habit. It’s hard for us to make a different choice today than the call that we made yesterday. We’d rather stick to the tried-and-failed than a possible better solution.

That’s just how our minds are wired.

This Dream Is About What’s Great About Having a Choice

This dream also represents the positive aspects of being able to choose.

It also indicates that by being a level-headed person and not letting your biases get in the way, you will be more aware of the consequences of your decision. Being level-headed also enables you to track how certain decisions can lead to certain consequences which arise ultimately from your preferences and expectations.

This Dream Is About You Being Meticulous

Finally, another general interpretation of a mall indicates that you are not a careless person when it comes to common sense, money, life partner choices, business decisions, and other crucial calls that people make in their lives.

By the same token, you’re not very patient with people who are careless and thoughtless. Your subconscious is telling you that you are the type of person that can pay attention to details which can lead to better choices that enhance your image and identity when it comes to others.

Common Dream Interpretations of Malls

Just like with other dream interpretations in this blog, you have to really pay close attention to the context in which you dream of a main image or symbol. Malls are no exception.

Dreaming of a shopping mall represents our different choices. All of us are faced with different life circumstances and we all have different backgrounds and resource levels and networks.

Our choices happen within a context. People don’t make decisions based on something universal. It’s all contextual.

A dream about a mall implies that whatever choices we have to make, we should always be mindful of our ideas, values, and beliefs before making a firm decision.

Many dreams about malls are also messages and signs to lead us to the right path in our waking life. The choices we make today, of course, determine our future.

But a mall dream also relates a very important truth: how you imagine your past plays a big role in the quality of the decisions you make today, which in turn paves the way for the future.

By being clear about your past and making sure that it serves you, you are laying the conditions for making better choices in the here and now.

Positive Dream Interpretation of Shopping Mall Dreams

A shopping mall dream represents choice, but a lot of people are uneasy with this interpretation. We like going to a shopping mall, but when we get there, we end up wasting a lot of time.

Why? It turns out that the shopping mall means freedom and that’s precisely what scares us.

A Shopping Mall Dream Means Freedom

It turns out that when people say freedom of choice, what they really mean is freedom from choice. It’s one thing to go through a mall where you can see the very best the world has to offer. Everything is bright, shiny, and complete with an affordable price tag.

This is the dream. We want to have a choice. We want to have access to all that variety.

But when we find ourselves in that specific situation, in the intersection of modern technology, innovation, and trends, the abundance gets to us. We freeze in our tracks.

So, what happens is that we turn to other people to make our choices for us. The reality is, as much as we like to make a big deal of freedom of choice based on how we behave, what we actually want is freedom from choice.

A Shopping Mall Dream Means Having a Rosy Picture of Yourself

On the whole, a shopping mall dream indicates positive beliefs, ideas, and potential. All of these give you the ability to make choices, but the problem is you are the one who trips yourself up.

Unless you’re willing to go out on a limb and do your own research and make sure that your choices actually represent your values, you will always be at the mercy of the people around you.

Guess what! They are not you. They didn’t go through life experiencing the things you have seen. They don’t necessarily have the same values as you.

All These Small Differences Do Add Up

And if you find yourself habitually relying on the expertise and authority of those around you to make your choices, you end up living their lives. This is when the mall, as positive as this dream imagery can be, start to perform and feel like a prison.

Know the difference.

Sometimes, the worst prisons are the shiniest and happiest looking. They’re the ones that are well stocked with goods from all over the world. But there you are — still a prisoner, frozen by your inability to choose truly for yourself.

The Negative Aspect of Shopping Center Dreams

A Shopping Mall Dream Points to Your Carelessness in How You Decide

To dream of a mall can also be related to carelessness in making decisions. How many times have you gone to the mall and bought something that you didn’t need?

By the time you get home and you take that item out of the bag, a heavy realization comes over you. You’re going to be saddled with a fat, credit card bill for a long time to come for something that you didn’t really need.

In this context, the dreaming of a mall can be associated with uncontrolled desires, conformist materialism, and unfocused greed.

Please understand that desires, materialism, and greed, in of themselves, are not necessarily bad.

If you took this away from a human being, that person is just going to sit there like a potato. They’re gonna wait for other people to feed them. They’re not going to aspire for something higher and better.

Instead, they’re just going to just go day-to-day focusing on the bare minimum because they don’t want to aspire for something more. It is precisely our desires and our materialist orientation and — let’s face it — our greed that motivates us to create, to sacrifice, and to wish for something more.

But these can be short-circuited, and as a result, we find ourselves in this situation where we just want to buy, buy, and buy; acquire, acquire, and acquire. And what happens is, eventually, the bill has to get paid and it’s not pretty.

A Shopping Mall Dream Points to Your Desire to Spend So Much Money

To dream of a mall can also indicate that you are a big spender or at least like to imagine yourself as being one.

You are always up to date with the latest trends and technology as well as the desire to acquire these. You feel that something is not right in your life unless you just buy the latest fashion, you’re carrying the right bag at the right time, or you’re using the latest and greatest technology.

This is awesome if you have the means to pay for them, but it can be problematic if you have a limited income.

But this is not entirely bad. If anything, your subconscious may be showing you a disconnect between your wants and what you think you need and how this emotional dissonance can lead to you stepping up.

Sometimes, guys find out just how ambitious they are and how ready they are to become successful businessmen or achieve amazing success in their careers when they get married.

Prior to that time, they’ve just decided to coast. Maybe they just parked their butts on a couch, play video games 8-hours straight, and worked at a dead-end job.

But once they get married, or better yet, they have a mouth to feed because a baby is on the way, it’s as if a spark gets lit deep within them.

This is the part that sees, in the dark fog ahead, possibility. This is the part of you that enables you to overcome your fears.

It’s a wonderful thing. Don’t be afraid of it. All of us have this spark.

Other Common Dreams About Malls

A Shopping Mall Dream Represents Your Need for Spiritual Support

Dreams about salespeople leading you inside the mall mean that you are looking for spiritual support. Your subconscious is operating in terms of oppositional imagery here.

Generally speaking, when you’re talking to salespeople, you’re obviously looking to buy a product or some sort of service.

But your subconscious may be telling you that what you really need is spiritual support. This can indicate a need for guidance from someone close to your life or somebody who is distant in the form of a book.

A Shopping Mall Dream Represents Your Need for Quality Time

These dreams can also indicate that you need to spend more quality time with your family and friends.

Please remember that the best form of therapy is presence therapy. You just need to be there for the ones that matter the most to you.

You don’t have to solve all their problems. You don’t even have to have any answers. Just be there for them.

Cry when they cry. Laugh when they laugh. Feel their joy, and most importantly share their life.

That’s how you make an impact because ultimately, we don’t have all the answers. The answers may be fleeting, but what lasts an eternity is the fact that we were there to care.

What Does Dreaming of Many Stores Inside a Mall Mean?

If the main focus of your dream is the number of stores inside a mall, this can indicate that you are open to new ideas. At the very least, you are aware of the differences between ideas and where they could lead.

This not only can help you become a better employee at work, but it can also pave the way for you to become an entrepreneur because you’re looking at things from a fundamental level.

You’re not just looking at the finished product or process. You’re looking at a set of ideas that went into implementation and how it impacts people’s lives.

This Dream Indicates the Abundance of Good Ideas and Solutions

A store is a symbol of a set of ideas and solutions, and you’re able to appreciate their abundance and compare them with each other.

The end result is abundance and business resourcefulness. The more aware you are of how these stores are different from each other, the better your decision-making abilities will be. And the more you will set yourself up for potential financial success in the future.

Dream Example #1

It was a Friday night. I was midway through my shift in the electronics department when I saw in the corner of my eye, someone walked past the aisle I was working in.

This wouldn’t usually catch my attention if it weren’t for the fact that there were only two other workers in the building working with me that night, Joe & Mellisa.

They were both wearing the same staff shirts I was wearing.

I’d know because we were all clocked in at the same time.

The person I saw earlier was wearing all black.

I walked to the end of the aisle and did a little peep around the shelf.

No one was there. I yelled both Joe & Melissa’s names.

So when they didn’t answer, it made it even stranger.

But regardless, I went back to work.

I was holding in pee for a while & I’d told myself I’d go when I finished work in that aisle.

Seconds later, there was a big crash a few aisles down.

It startled me.

I ran over to see what it was & a bicycle was somehow knocked off of his hook.

The hook was still fine and in place.

It seemed like someone had to put effort into knocking this down.

I hung it back up and started walking around the aisle.

I got to the last aisle.

Then there was this freaky ass sound that I could best describe as a laugh.

Sounded like it came from literally the next aisle over.

So once again, I did a short run back to that aisle and felt my heart drop when I saw a man dressed in all black with his back facing me but his head turned slightly.

So all I saw was only half his face.

Then he suddenly ran.

Not towards me but down some other aisle.

I was left with choices of chasing after him or going to find my two co-workers.

I chose the latter.

All the while, I heard these freakish laughing sounds and footsteps that I honestly thought were circling me.

I couldn’t hold my pee any longer. So I ran to the employee’s only bathroom that was in the warehouse section.

The door to the bathroom opened & closed.

Naturally, with 3 to 4 people in the building, I shouted “who’s that?” & with no answer, I assumed the worst.

I heard that horrific laughing again & someone stepped into view from between the crack in the door.

I saw the eye. The whispering began.

It was an unintelligible whispering.

The echo from the bathroom just made it even more unsettling.

I just remembered I had Melissa’s phone number saved.

I frantically got out and called her.

I told her to come & help me.

Moments later, Melissa entered the bathroom.

She said she didn’t see anyone on her way there.

I was still not convinced. Melissa started shaking me up. “There’s nobody in here. Wake up, wake up.”

I woke up. I saw my mother yelling at me. She was shouting, “Wake up. It’s 11 o’clock”. That was one hell of a nightmare.
