What Does Dreaming of Plants Mean?

How Do You Know You’ve Been Dreaming of Plants?

This is a very tricky question if you think about it. Plants after all tend to make up a lot of the background when you’re in a typical outdoor setting.

As long as there’s greenery, there is plant life. This goes without saying. If this is the case, then how do you know you’ve been dreaming of plants?

Well, the key is the repetition of plant images. In other words, at the beginning of your dream, you see leaves, greenery, and some type of flora.

You go about your way. You talk to people. You do your thing. And plants again surround you.

Somewhere in the middle or even throughout your dream, you may be interacting with a specific plant or a group of plants.

I’m not talking about fruit or vegetables. This is not about food. I’m talking about the live plant itself.

A lot of people dream about flowers and that’s fine, but the dividing line between dreaming of plants and dreaming of flowers is when the flowers are cut or separated from the living plant.

One practical rule of thumb you should follow, if you’re trying to determine if you’ve been dreaming of plants and need to analyze your night visions accordingly, is whether you focus on the plant as a whole.

This is how you know that your dream of plants will have a reasonably valid dream interpretation. This is key to any competent dream interpretation.

You have to identify the focus of your dream.

If You Have a Dream of Plants, Finding Your Focus Can Be Tricky

As you probably already know, any dream involving objects or living things that are quite common takes a little bit of discipline to properly analyze.

How come?

Well, if you dream of plants or your dream involves any kind of greenery, it is very easy to overlook those details. After all, if you go outside, chances are, there’s going to be some sort of plant life.

Maybe it’s on planters somewhere. Maybe it’s on the grass lawn of your neighbor or of your home.

When you’re walking down the street, there might be trees lining the street. It doesn’t take much effort to see plant life in a typical dream.

This is why it’s really important to pay attention to what I described above. That’s how you would know that your dream of plants is actually about the plants themselves.

I need to keep repeating this point because if you miss this and it turns out that your dream is about fruit or something plant-related but not plants themselves, your dream interpretation is going to be way off.

When It Comes to Dreams with Common Imagery, Little Details Count for a Lot

If you’ve ever watched a rocket take off, you would notice that in the beginning, it seems like it’s taking off in a straight line. But eventually, its trajectory starts to curve.

This is not an optical illusion. In reality, it’s going in a different direction because its starting position is actually adjusted by a couple of degrees. This is all but invisible to the naked eye.

And this is also controlled in flight remotely by flight engineers. And pretty soon, given enough distance, you can see the final trajectory of the rocket.

But it takes a lot of distance and time to see the difference a few degrees make. The same goes with your dreams.

When you are trying to make sense of them after you’ve just woken up, it would seem like there’s really not much that big of a deal because there are so many details and you feel that if you just focus on one instead of another, somehow things will fall into place.

Well, this is an emotional illusion because your subconscious is using certain imagery for a reason. Nothing is an accident.

And if you have several doors in front that open to different paths and you open one door instead of another, you best believe that you will end up in a different place from the one that you desire or that you expect. The same applies to the typical dream involving plants.

Because if you think that the dream is about what you’re doing or the home that you were going to as you travel from scene to scene, or even the animal that you meet up in your nighttime vision, a lot is lost in the translation.

In fact, in many cases, your dream interpretation might not be all that valid. I just want to make this clear before we dive into what the typical dream about plants means.

The General Meaning of Dreaming of Plants

To dream of plants suggest a sense of slow progression in your waking life.

Have you ever watched grass grow? It’s not exactly a sexy site. You see freshly-cut grass day after day, and it seems like not much of anything is happening.

But if you disappear for a while or take a rest and then go back to your daily path through a garden or a lawn, you would see the difference.

When you see plants in your dream, they suggest the day-to-day development and changes in your life.

If viewed too closely, it would seem that there’s really not much difference on a day-to-day basis. This is especially true if we look at every single blade. It seems that the grass is not growing.

But when we take a big picture view and allow ourselves to check back from time to time, we can see that things are moving along. Using these symbols, your subconscious is trying to send you the message that there are actual changes in your life.

You may be impatient about certain things like the pace of your relationships or your personal development, for example, losing weight. But if you’re patient enough and you look at the big picture and you focus on other areas of your life only to check back in later on, you would notice the change.

This definitely applies to your dreams, hopes, and goals in life.

The Road to Success Is Almost Never Short

Regardless of how you define success, your journey to attaining is never as short as you would like. The reason for this is that you often have to change on the road to success.

It’s not just a question of going through Point A, doing certain things, making the necessary sacrifices, and then committing to go on to Point B, doing what you need to do, and then graduating on to Point C, so on and so forth.

At every step of the way, you are given the opportunity to change. So, it’s no surprise that people who achieve their greatest goals, dreams, and aspirations in life arrive completely changed. In many cases, the reason why they’re able to even recognize that they have attained “success” is that they have allowed the journey to change them.

When you’re dreaming of plants — in particular grass or trees — your subconscious is telling you that you are on this path of change. You should savor the process instead of obsessing about the final destination.

Patience Is Easier Said Than Done

This is all well and good. After all, as the old saying goes, “all good things come to those who wait.”

Fair enough!

But the problem a lot of people have with waiting is they feel that they have to put the rest of their lives on hold while things develop.

It doesn’t have to be that way because you are a very complicated being. Any personal growth or self-improvement needs, not only a healthy appreciation of time, but also an awareness that we are multilevel, multilayered, and complicated creatures.

If you understand this part of yourself, then you would know that there’s a lot of value in putting in the work on a day-to-day basis, but not obsessing about your project as you try to shepherd it to its final destination and final form.

Give Yourself Permission to Take Care of Other Areas of Your Life

This is where a lot of success-driven people fall apart. They put in everything they have and sacrifice 80 hours a week to their goal.

Maybe it’s becoming a partner at a law firm or becoming a head doctor at a hospital. Whatever lofty ambition you may have, you know the kind of sacrifice you need to achieve the highest peak of your profession.

So, you put in the time and you focus so much on that that everything else becomes secondary, and you realize by a certain age, once you have achieved everything, that you’re empty.

You’ve given up everything for it.

I’m not saying that these are not worth striving for, but understand that how you achieve success is just as important as what your definition of it is in the first place.

Achieving Transformation Is a Worthy Goal

Don’t focus on morphing grasses or immature plants into fruit-bearing trees or fruit-bearing shrubbery and herbs. A lot of the time, it’s better to focus your attention on the process rather than to focus on the destination of your dream.

There is beauty in just finding yourself enjoying the sunlight out in a garden or even in the middle of an open lawn.

You’re not exactly watching the grass grow, but you are giving yourself permission to be purely present at that specific moment in time. There is no one to become, nothing to prove, nowhere to go, and it feels awesome. It’s as if you can touch the stillness within the core of your being.

And this gives you so much satisfaction. This is the essence of patience.

It doesn’t mean that you have to give up working. It doesn’t mean that you have to necessarily see your work and previous sacrifices as meaningless. It just means shifting your point of view and seeing things from a broader perspective.

This will help you wait, and I’m not talking about a wait that involves empty time. I’m talking about personal growth and actual self-improvement through understanding and a healthier relationship with time and development.

Personal Growth Requires the Right Elements

A lot of people are under the impression that to grow as human beings, we need to have the right people in the right circumstances to give us what we need. In other words, they have a very passive way of looking at personal growth.

It’s as if we are just on the receiving end of some sort of universal wisdom. We don’t have to do anything. The Universe owed it to us. We just need to sit back and take it all in.

Sadly, Life Doesn’t Work This Way

Growth not only requires time but it requires effort. It requires hard work.

And the harder you work, the more patient you become. And the more your patience grows, the stronger your faith in whatever it is you’re doing and whoever you think you are, grow as well.

These all take place hand in hand.

And, unfortunately, when we turn our life goals and personal dreams into a fetish, we start to think that these are what the Universe owes us. We start to fall for really toxic ideas like the world has to be fair and just.

Well, it’s never been fair. The ride has never been easy. There is no such thing as an elevator to success.

Everybody has to take the stairs. Even people who are born with a silver spoon in their mouth quickly find out that they need the help of professionals to stay where they are. It’s never as easy as we imagine it to be.

Just like a growing plant, it’s not a foregone conclusion that the plant you’re looking at will eventually become very big, start to blossom, and all those flowers will bear fruit. That’s an assumption built upon another assumption.

The reality is most of the flowers that a plant produces are never fertilized. A lot of the fruit that you see are miracles of statistics. They’re the minority.

And a lot of the energy that a typical tree expends is wasted if you’re going to measure it based on the fruit or the nut that the tree produces.

The same goes for your life, and it’s really important to be clear where your effort goes.

Where Your Focus Goes, Energy Flows

Your subconscious may be sending you a signal that your personal growth and path to success is slower than you think. In fact, a part of you may feel that nothing really changes on a day-to-day basis.

In truth, what’s really going on is that you have to go through certain changes for you to even realize how far you’ve gotten. This involves healing from trauma as well as healing from toxic mindsets, assumptions, and expectations. This can also mean forgiving yourself for expecting success to jump out at you and then condemning yourself as a failure because it didn’t.

Healing in this context may seem slow at this point, but the truth is things are getting better.

The key is to build on your competence and this is one of those things in life that you really cannot rush.

But the best way to speed it up is to practice. So, if you are making money online by trading crypto, practice by doing research, practice by selling and — yes! — practice by failing.

That’s right!

When you know that you made the wrong trade or you bought the wrong token, own it. Don’t engage in denial ‘coz you’re wasting time when you do that.

Learn to Fail Quickly but Learn Quickly as Well

You have to understand that you don’t grow if you don’t take action. Analysis-paralysis just leads to even more paralysis and a crippling mindset where you don’t want to take any risks.

There is no such thing as a sure shot in life. This is true when it comes to cryptocurrency, blogging, making money off YouTube channels, meeting the right person, working out and losing weight, or any other worthwhile venture.

What Does It Mean for a Parent to Dream About Plants?

Parents, like a mom or a dad, dreaming about plants can indicate that they have children that they’re taking care of.

They’re worried that their kids seem to be stuck at a certain phase. They’re worried about how things will pan out in the future.

If this is the case, your subconscious is telling through the plant images that you’re seeing in your dreams that your kids are most resilient than you give them credit for, and they will prosper.

The key is to just enjoy the moment with them and be clear about your intentions and your actions and make sure that there is no disconnect between the two.

General Dream Interpretation and Common Dreams About Plants

What follows are certain motifs that may appear in your dreams involving plants and plant symbols. Pay close attention to the changes in these motifs because they can mean a lot as far as the overall dream interpretation.

What Does a Pregnant Woman Dreaming About Plants Symbolize?

If you’re pregnant and you’re dreaming about plants — maybe orchids or hanging plants or plants on a trellis or even flowers in general — it means that you are reconnecting with the part of yourself that is very nurturing. You start looking at yourself as a vessel, not just of your own dreams and ambitions, but also a vessel of life for the next generation.

The plant in this context represents the little human life inside of you but importantly your role in nurturing, encouraging, and empowering the potential of that little person.

If you’re pregnant and you’re dreaming about plants, this can also indicate that you should understand that your emotional and spiritual growth will come slowly to you. As the days get closer to you becoming a mother, you probably are very stressed.

You may be thinking you’re not ready for this. You may be thinking that you may be overwhelmed.

But what your subconscious mind is telling, is that you should take it slow because by refusing to just focus on the moment, you actually slow down your rate of spiritual and emotional growth.

So, take a deep breath. Just take it one day at a time, and you will eventually settle into your new role and things will achieve a momentum of their own.

This is when you will feel a sense of connection, not just with the life growing in you, but a sense of hope in the rest of the world where the life that you’re bringing forth will enter.

This is how you become at peace with who you are at this point in your life and who you could become now that you have a new role as a mother.

Dreaming of Plants Can Also Involve Fertility and in Particular Your Reproductive Health

Depending on the coloration of the plants in your dream, you might want to focus on your physical health. This can involve taking care of your general health and wellness as well as enrolling in some sort of lifestyle enhancement program.

What Does It Mean to Dream About a Dying Plant?

It depends on how the plant is dying. Are its leavings wilting? Did its leaves become dry?

When you see this type of imagery, your subconscious is telling you that it senses trouble with your plans. In particular, a project might have an unforeseen roadblock or setback.

Keep in mind that this doesn’t mean that it’s the end. It just means that your subconscious is seeing some certain disconnects or there are certain gaps in your plans and how things are turning out.

This doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s the end of the road. Instead, this is a call to action.

Be prepared because as you probably already know, by this point in your life, there is no such thing as a straight line between idea and reality. Oftentimes, there are a number of detours and as I have mentioned earlier, in many cases, the ultimate breakthrough to success can only happen once you have let the journey change you.

A Dying Plant Can Be a Sign of a New Project

Seeing a dying plant or holding one in your dream can also be symbolic in the sense that something new will come from the ashes of an old project.

Now, I understand that you may feel when the project that you have counted on or placed your hope in hits a snag and eventually breaks apart. It happens.

But the good news is it doesn’t have to end in total and abject failure. Dying can also mean the rise of new ideas or knowledge to be discovered that are only revealed to you because some previous project failed.

Be on the lookout for this type of opportunity. Don’t think that everything is lost.

A Dying Plant Dream Can Also Be a Sign of Neglect

If you look at the plant that’s dying in your dream and you realize that it is dying because you haven’t had the time to water it, the dream interpretation of the symbol changes dramatically.

What you’re looking at is emotional and spiritual neglect. It’s an indication that your subconscious is picking up on areas of your life that you need to pay attention to but have neglected for whatever reason.

The conclusion that’s coming up ahead is unavoidable. That plant will die. So, in this context, the dead plant can indicate a sense of helplessness.

It’s kind of paradoxical if you think about it because your subconscious is picking up on the fact that you didn’t take action or you weren’t diligent enough or you didn’t commit to proper maintenance. Whatever the case may be, when the plant was alive or clinging to life, there were so many things that you could’ve done.

This is not bad news. Your subconscious is just trying to waken you to the fact you have a lot more control over your day-to-day life than you give yourself credit for.

So, coming up with a sense of helplessness doesn’t make sense in this context. But it is quite natural.

When people, due to their own negligence, lack of attention, or just plain old laziness, meet up with the natural consequences of their decisions, they feel helpless. They feel that they’re a victim of circumstance. In many cases, a lot of us instantly look for other people and situations that we can’t control.

This is perfectly natural and view this as part of the grieving process for the hopes, dreams, and wishes that just disappeared because of your omission.

But once that is over, realize that you are in control. You made this happen.

And once you realize that, you should feel empowered because just as you can drive a car off a cliff to predictable doom, you can choose to drive it the right way and get to where you want to go.

Doesn’t that make you feel good? Doesn’t that make you feel hopeful?

You don’t have to feel hopeless. You don’t have to give in to a sense of helplessness because the moment you take responsibility and ownership of your ability to react and make changes and make calls and decisions, you get your life back.

This is why it’s really important to make sure that you are present in every second of your life. This is how you make sense of things, which leads to a sense of being truly alive and being in control.

Now, a lot of this is an illusion but feeling in control has a lot of value. If anything, it steers you clear from a sense of despair and hopelessness.

What Does It Mean to Dream About Watering Plants?

This subconscious dream image indicates a sense of emotional investment. You may have a growing feeling of love or concern for someone else.

This doesn’t necessarily mean romantic love. This can just mean that your existing relationship has reached a different level.

For example, once children turn 8 years old, they experience rapid emotional growth. This is very easy to overlook because when you look at your kid, they look the same as before.

You may be thinking: “Okay, she turned 8 or my son is now 8 years old. What’s the big deal?”

Well, it’s a big deal internally. So, be in the moment with your loved ones. Try to look at your relationship from a different perspective.

Allow yourself to be guided by the changes that are going through in your life and this will help grow your relationship and build even better intimate bonds because now you can see the person that you care about turn a new leaf or reach another level in their lives.

By being aware, you will then prepare yourself to give them the encouragement, emotional sustenance, and spiritual support that they need so they can fully blossom at that stage of their life.

This of course brings feelings of joy. You know you truly love somebody when there’s nothing in it for you.

It’s very easy to look at children as essentially money pits, and when you read a typical personal financial blog, this is the impression you get. Raising a child costs a lot of money nowadays.

But if you truly love your child, you don’t see dollars and cents. Instead, you see the days that you’re smiling together and you see through their eyes the moments that they discover something new or they realize something new and you look at each other and you can’t help but feel proud of your child because now they’re seeing a different angle to life.

This is how you sustain, encourage, and empower them. And the more you sacrifice, the more you feel alive. This is real joy — joy that comes deep within you.

What Does Dreaming About Potted Plants Mean?

Potted plants are quite different from typical cultivated garden plants in one respect: they are very mobile. You can take a potted plant from one spot and put them in a far corner of your home.

That is independence. You can’t do that with a tree that grows straight out of the ground.

When you find yourself dreaming about potted plants, your subconscious is telling you that you often feel stagnant about certain situations in your life. You figured out the cycle that you’re on.

For example, at work you see a cycle of initial excitement then you get worried about the kind of work and the commitment it would take. Then you get excited again because you start to figure out certain problems and you really get pumped up once you hit that point of momentum when things start to fall into place and you learn a new thing at work.

This all sounds awesome until you have to do it the next day and the day after that and the week after that. By that point, it becomes a routine and you’re flirting with burnout.

This is the cycle that you’ve detected in that part of your life.

Well, the good news is when you’re dreaming about potted plants, you start to view things in terms of cycles and one temptation you have to confront is to view everything else as stagnant.

It’s as if you’re saying: “Okay, I’m seeing it playing out, but I’ve seen the cycle before — been there, done that. ”

The good news is that you should view this as symbolic of your desire as a growing person.

How? Actively choose to move out of your comfort zone.

So instead of just cynically viewing patterns playing out in your relationships, your physical health as well as your job or business in terms of predictable cycles, look at them as opportunities to get out of your comfort zone, to break things apart, and put them together, and to get behind the principles of whatever it is that you’re trying to explore.

This is the essence of real knowledge and the more you do it, the more you explore yourself and get in touch with your real personal potential.

When you push against the outer walls of your comfort zone, a lot of you start to break apart and this is both a terrifying and a wonderful thing at the same time because you enter a different stage and you see different sides of your personal creativity and intuition.

It can be a very liberating feeling.

Potted Plants Can Also Indicate Hard Work

A lot of people like to say that they work hard. Very few people are immune to this.

But in reality, they’re caught in routine. They think that they “work hard” because they put in the time.

But if they were completely honest with themselves, the hard work that they put in is basically just measured in hours. If their actual productive work was boiled down in the form of results, they’d be lucky if they work more than an hour in a typical 8-hour work schedule cycle.

Do you see how this works?

When you dream of potted plants and you are cultivating the plants, taking out the weeds, hanging them, and moving them around, your subconscious is telling you that you have to redefine your definition of hard work for you to truly achieve your dreams.

Simply staying in place or doing things that you’ve previously done may not get you to the highest heights or the next level of your career.

In your mind, you may be thinking that you’re putting in the time and are working hard, but in reality, you’re hardly working because you are not paying close enough attention to what’s playing out and trying to reinvent the rules or connect the dots in such a way that you can scale up the results that you get while not necessarily putting in more effort.

This is the definition of real hard work. It’s all about aligning your resourcefulness and creativity with the day-to-day problems that you solve at your work and your business.

Pay attention to your potted plant dreams when it comes to your hard work because your subconscious is telling you that you don’t have to grind your gears on the road to success.

You don’t have to keep chasing your tail. By thinking in terms of principles, you can get a lot more results with less effort.

What Does It Mean to Dream About a Growing Plant?

If you had a dream where you saw a plant go from seed all the way to a massive tree or some fully mature plant, sit up and pay attention.

Your subconscious is sending you signals that it is concerned about your spiritual and emotional growth. There is a development in all personal “inner work” that you have been doing. This is going on behind the scenes and your mind is trying to draw your attention to it.

And if you give it enough focus, it’s going to give you the joy and a sense of self-awareness and satisfaction that you would need to eventually turn what would otherwise be a routine, day-to-day existence into one of adventure, excitement, and possibility.

This way your mindset will change so that you see that our life situations are actually challenges that force you to become a better person.

What Does It Mean to Dream About a Plant Full of Leaves and Flowers?

This can indicate a fruitful beginning in your life. Flowers and leaves are symbols of blessings and at this stage of your journey regarding a particular project or a particular part of your life, you can see that things are working out.

You feel blessed. You feel lucky. And you feel quite alive.

Now, you may be thinking: “Well, I don’t feel that right now in my waking life.”

Well, if you see a disconnect, your subconscious is telling you through a dream of a plant full of leaves and flowers that you need to practice gratitude.

You may be in such a hurry to get from where you started to where you feel you have achieved success that you don’t stop to count your blessings along the way. In fact, in many cases, you’re so busy you don’t even realize that every single day is a brand-new record and every single day is a blessing.

Dreaming About a Plant Full of Leaves and Flowers Indicate the Blossoming of New Ideas

If you see this dream imagery of a plant full of leaves and flowers, it can also indicate that new ideas for a new project are actually present in your mind.

You just need to isolate it and cultivate it. You also need to scale it up.

What can make this a little bit tricky is that, in many times in many situations, the hot idea that we come up with can only come to life if we take the risk of sharing it with somebody else. This can involve something as basic as coming up with a new process and then proposing it as a particular project with someone at work.

What Does It Mean to Dream About Plants Covered in Leaves and Flowers?

This can indicate that your personal development is increasing to the point that your personality has become undeniable.

Maybe you’ve grown up with a negative self-image. Maybe you think you’re not all that attractive.

You might want to think again because different people define beauty in different ways. Oftentimes we are our own worst critics.

So, it’s a good idea to look at yourself with a neutral pair of eyes and possibly realize that you have a pleasant appearance. And to enhance your appearance, you might want to take better care of yourself and adopt a healthy, daily routine.

By doing so, not only do you become healthy overall, but you start looking at yourself as genuinely attractive and appealing on a physical level.

What Does Dreaming About Eating a Plant Mean?

Dreaming about eating a plant can suggest your need to be connected with Nature.

Being outside nature can give us a sense of wonder. It also gives us tremendous opportunities to reflect on our inner and outer worlds. Nature can also renew our connection with our souls and foster a personal stage of spiritual renewal and emotional healing.

Any dreams related to eating a green plant can be an example that we are not outside of nature. Instead, we are extensions of nature itself.

Accordingly, we are not immune to internal natural cycles.

Dream Example #1

I was lost in a forest.

The sun is up and shining, but the tropical rainfall begins to tap on my head.

A tranquil moment inside my mind, I started to think that this is just another recurring dream. So, I began to wander.

The path has no trail at all, just plain grasses. Suddenly, I stop walking because I saw many different plants, but one plant is slowly dying, and the leaves are starting to fall.

It was strange. After all, the other plants are looking so very healthy. So, I sat down and thought about how to save this dying plant.

I heard a voice whispering in my ears that I should pee on the sick plant to revive it. I doubt it because I knew this was only a dream.

Because if I pee, this dream will end, and I will also pee my pants, and my bed will be soaked in wet if I do that. So, I think of another idea on how to save the dying plant.

Later the rain has gone, but the sun is going down too, and it’s getting dark. I became frustrated because the plant is only seconds away from dying. I started to cry.

My tears fell to the plant. I quickly noticed that the dying plant begins to grow back and blooming. I can’t believe what I saw. I smiled.

As I began to observe, the plant is slowly growing tall. But I’m shocked because it turns out to be a monstrous plant, and it’s trying to eat me.

I quickly run for my life. I take a look at other plants.

They are laughing at me.

The Monstrous plant continued to chase me. My heart started to beat faster and faster.

I saw a lake and jump to it and started to swim, but the monstrous plant knows how to swim too.

I keep swimming until I reach the edge of the lake. And start running again. There was a tree, So I tried to Climb into it, but I slipped out and fell to the ground.

I was screaming from pain and crawl and leaned on the tree. I broke my Right arm and sprained my left ankle.

But I stood up, and I continued to move on before that monstrous plant will catch me and make me his dinner.

I am slowly walking but limping at the same time due to the injuries.

When I look back, the monstrous plant has disappeared, So I stop walking and take a deep breath, and closed my eyes.

Meanwhile, after resting for a few seconds, the monstrous plant quickly appeared in front of me and told me not to worry because I will be fine.

The monstrous plant ate me and swallowed me alive. I was unconscious. And when I wake up, I saw many plants singing to a Beatles song “honey pie”.

I was amused, and I began to dance and sing along.

Dream Example #2

I had just gotten off my bus and had started walking towards home. My neighborhood had lots of plants on the sidewalk.

There were flowering plants of every color in the rainbow. Some had large flowers, as large as my hand. Others had tiny flowers that you would need to bend over and watch carefully to even get a good look at.

Just before I was about to turn into his street, I noticed a large yellow rose plant. It had just one huge rose at the top.

Amazingly, this rose was as large as the suitcase I was carrying.

This plant was about three times taller than the surrounding plants, and a couple of feet taller than me! I didn’t remember seeing that plant before, even though I passed by that area daily. Feeling curious, I grabbed the stem and pulled the flower down.

I wanted to get a good look at the rose. After all, roses are my favorite flowers, and he had never seen a rose this huge before.

As soon as the rose was at the same level as my head, I heard a loud, ear-piercing scream in the distance. It sounded like an angry cat mixed with the clucking of a chicken.

I immediately turned around to try and look at what had made that sound. To my surprise, I was now standing in the middle of a dense forest. There were huge trees all around me. They were so tall that the treetops were not even visible.

Their branches were the length of a bus, and they were as thin as a tube of toothpaste.

These branches didn’t have any leaves on them. The leaves were all situated on the tree trunks, which were wider than my entire house!

The leaves also resembled fern leaves. Something that stood out to me was that although all the leaves were green, they all seemed to be a different shade.

A blue-colored monkey started jumping on the branches. I began wondering why the thin branches were not breaking.

Then, I realized that the monkey was slowly making his way towards me.

It made the same loud sound that I had heard before. I realized that I was so amazed by what was happening around me, that I was still holding the yellow rose plant’s stem. I quickly glanced around.

Everything apart from the rose plant had changed into the forest.

At this point, the had reached the ground. It was standing right in front of me, looking very angry. It said “Leave that plant.

It is mine!” I was startled by the fact that this monkey just spoke to me in English. I was also feeling afraid of the monkey, so I let go of the rose plant immediately.

As soon as the plant went back to its normal position, the monkey screamed and jumped toward my face. I took a couple of steps back and closed my eyes. When I opened them again, I was lying on my bed, I was back home!

‘What a strange dream!’ I thought.

Dream Example #3

I spent the whole day planting seeds. When nightfall came, I witnessed something peculiar. It would have been better if documented. A group of tiny shining lights was flying across my plants giving them an unknown substance. I could not distinguish it.

I dare step foot outside with hopes to cure the curiosity running in my head. To my great disbelief, these are tiny creatures with human forms floating above the plants.

They were showering the seeds with beautiful colors as they blossom to the extent of full maturity. I scratched my eyes and slapped my face. Am I dreaming? A tiny voice answered no.

I ran in terror and bumped my head against the wooden bell by the yard that I carved from the trunk of a Nara tree

As soon as I regained consciousness, I found myself in bed tucked in. I stood up when I saw that the sun was about to set again. Maybe it was indeed a dream.

I barely could recall any of it.

I went on my usual routine involving brewing coffee, cooking bacon and eggs, reading the newspapers, and feeding the pets. I heard triumphant cheers outside.

It felt like a commotion but not a bad one, a feast almost. I rushed towards it. I saw the seeds I planted the other day instantly become a fruit-giving tree ready for harvest. Could it be that I fell into a deep coma and woke up years later? I ran closer and tried to recall what sort of miracle happened but could fail to do so.

It must be a gift from God.

“Thank you, Lord!” I exclaimed. I was about to leave when someone spoke. As I looked back, I saw no person nearby. What could it be? I asked myself. I observed some more. I had attempted to contact someone from the city to help me harvest all the fruits when I recalled that I live in the middle of the forest with nothing but abundance in biodiversity.

What am I supposed to do with all of this? I stayed under the apple tree munching on the sweet apples.

If only I could distribute these to the less fortunate that still lives in the city. I thought. “No problem!” A tiny voice appeared again together with a carriage with a horse. I could not believe my eyes nor my ears for this.

Are the plants talking to me? “You’ve been great the whole time. You’ve provided so much care for us. It’s time for you to provide care for others” in an instant, I was transported to the city.

I laid out my goods and labeled them for free. At first, no one dared to grab some. I patiently waited for the first person to take the initiative. I drew flyers that have free food for everyone written on it.

As soon as the wind scattered them among the city ground, more people swarmed me. Chaos broke out. I did not expect that such food acts would result in a nasty competition.

I stared blankly in the sky and once again looked back to the city I was. The resources and properties I currently own are enough to sustain me for a lifetime. However, the city, it’s full of chaotic and unequal governance that leaves me uncontested.

With unknown intention, I hopped in my boat and sailed the Pacific coast.
