Worm dream meaning

If the main image your dream focused on is that of a worm or a group of worms, you’re probably wondering what your worm dream’s meaning is.

A lot of people automatically think that since worms are creepy and disgusting, their dream is altogether negative.

The reality is that the meaning of your worm dreams depends on the context.

It’s not enough to dream of worms.

What is the context in which you saw this dream symbol?

The general meaning of dreams about worms

The general meaning of dreams about worms
The most common meaning of worm dreams involves health worries.

Just because you’re worried about something doesn’t mean that whatever it is that you’re concerned about is worth the bother.

A lot of people worry about stuff that they shouldn’t even think about because they’re making mountains out of molehills and blowing things out of proportion.

If you are worried about your health, pay careful attention to your lifestyle.

This is where it comes from.

A lot of the time our health worries are actually just projections of our mental state regarding certain issues in our lives.

In fact, a lot of these issues have nothing to do with our health or even our lifestyle.

So pay close attention to why you are overly concerned about your health.

Do you have any kind of objective reason for doing so?

Did your doctor give you a diagnosis that somebody you know with the exact same lifestyle meet with unfortunate health issues?

Think along these lines.

These are objective grounds for worrying about your health.

But if you can’t find anything, then pick apart your worries.

Maybe you’re just projecting onto your health certain concerns you may have about other areas of your life.

Another general meaning of worms in dreams indicates a lack of self-confidence.

When people describe themselves as worms, or they compare their work or their importance in any organization to that of a worm, they’re not praising themselves.

This much is obvious.

Being compared to a worm is one of the worst insults you can ever get.

Unfortunately, too many people compare themselves to worms, they don’t wait for other people to do it for them.

They already do it themselves.

They think that unless they achieve their goals in the exact same way as they visualized them when they were first setting up those goals, anything short of that is a failure.

So they feel like worms.

This is the worst way to sabotage your success.

I know that’s quite a claim.

After all, nothing is worse than failure.

Right?

Well, actually, if you think about it what is worse than failing outright is succeeding but not knowing that you succeeded.

You’re so focused on the final form of your victory that anything short of that is a disappointment.

What you’ve done is you’ve robbed yourself of victory.

A lot of people would kill to be in the same spot as you but here you are feeling miserable and sorry for yourself because you did not live up to your own lofty expectations.

I’m not saying that you should lower your standard.

What I am saying is that you need to train yourself to learn how to recognize success.

Finally, when you dream about worms, this may indicate a certain type of depression.

Usually, when people think of depression, they think of somebody who is sad, debilitated, lacking energy, and possibly even suicidal.

These are the common images that come to mind when you hear the word “depression” or “I am depressed”.

But what if I told you that many people who are depressed, look vibrant?

They look energy energized.

But there’s a certain desperate heir to them.

They’re feeling pumped up but in the back of their minds, they feel that today is going to end just like yesterday, the day before that.

That’s what frustrates them.

Deep down inside, they know that they are operating 100%.

They’re giving their hopes, goals, and dreams, everything they’ve got but they’s not getting anywhere.

From the surface, it looks like they’re putting up a brave front.

In fact, they might even look like they’re enjoying themselves, but they are depressed.

Why?

They’re chasing their tails.

They’re operating from a deep and profound mistrust of their capacity to change their lives for the better.

So what do they do?

They do things exactly the way they’ve done them in the past.

As the old saying goes, “Insanity is defined as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result each time”.

If you want your results to change, then you have to change what you do.

It doesn’t get any simpler than that.

Every single action you take has a reaction from the universe.

That’s how it works.

The problem is if you insist on doing the same thing over and over again, why should you expect a different result?

People who are depressed in this context, cannot see this connection.

Maybe they’re afraid of trying something new, maybe they feel that they’ve grown accustomed to doing things a certain way and feeling a certain way about certain things about their life that change is scary to them.

That’s why they put on a brave and even happy face and they do it day after day, week after week, month after month, knowing full well.

Things are not going to change.

They’re chasing their tails, and it’s no wonder they are depressed.

People can easily take advantage of you

People can easily take advantage of you
One of the main takeaways of a worm dream indicates that people can take advantage of your mindset.

If you are so worried about your health, people can automatically gain your confidence by feeding you the lines that you want to hear.

You don’t want people to say. “There’s nothing wrong with you, snap out of it”, “You’re making mountains out of molehills”, and “You’re blowing things out of proportion”.

You don’t want to hear that kind of thing.

Instead, you want to be the center of attention.

You want people to reflect the reality you want to see.

This is why you can easily be taken advantage of.

People with ulterior motives can feed you the lines you want to hear.

These are seductive to you.

They’re sweet precisely because they numb your personal reality.

And once that person sees your reaction and you can’t help but want more of what they’re saying, they know that they have you in the palm of their hand.

From that point on they can do whatever they want to you and your money.

You may be staring at the future ruin

The interesting thing about worms in the world of biology is that they play a crucial role in the great cycle of life.

It’s easy to think of manure, worms, bugs, bacteria, and another creepy-crawly slimy, nasty stuff and organisms as unnecessary.

But what if I told you that if all the fungi, all the creepy, nasty, smelly, slimy organisms, and their byproducts are destroyed tomorrow the world will end.

Why?

We will drown in poop and that poop will have nowhere to go.

You see, the world is a closed system.

Whatever you eat, gets pooped out.

And the organisms in the soil as well as in the water and air break down that biological byproduct so it can be used by plants.

And once it’s used by plants, it gets stored the starch and animals can eat the fruit as well as the tissues of the vegetables, and grain that plants produce and then we eat the animals, then we poop it out.

You see the cycle.

This is the cycle of life.

I’ve just described the nitrogen cycle.

Worms play a big role in this because they break down poop and debris into a form that plants can use.

Take that roll away, and the whole system breaks down.

Sure, it doesn’t smell good, and it definitely doesn’t look pleasant but it’s absolutely necessary.

When you look at yourself as a worm, or you look at your finances or your performance at work as substandard things start to break down.

You start to neglect the importance you play in any organization.

In this mindset of thinking that I’m just another cog in the machine, or I’m just a tiny worm or a tiny ad in this organization, I don’t mean much of anything will be your ruin.

Why?

You’re not gonna get promoted, or at least reach positions that you desire, you’re not going to get the recognition you deserve because you feel and act small.

You blend into the background.

You’re one of the many employees of a typical American company who work the bare minimum not to get fired.

You’re not doing your best work.

You’re not consciously contributing to the company, becoming the best version of itself, you’re not doing any of that.

Instead, you’re just treading water.

You’re just running out the clock and before you know it, it’s time to get another job and start at the bottom again and repeat the same process.

Is that the way you want to play the game?

And if that is the case, then the future looks bleak indeed.

Put yourself first by doing your work

Put yourself first by doing your work
You may be thinking to yourself, “Okay, I don’t want to feel like another face in the crowd”, “I don’t want to feel like this tiny worm in a big organization”, “But how do I make sense of all of this? How do I come up?”.

Very simple.

There’s a meme going on right now where it says “You have one job…”.

Figure out what your one job is.

If your job is to be a father, be the best father you could be.

And this usually begins with attention and time.

Simply be physically present and emotionally connected and engaged with your child.

That’s all you need.

You don’t need to live in a palace.

You don’t need to pour millions of dollars into your child’s life.

Just be there.

If you’re working for a company or you’re a freelancer, do the best you can to go over what is expected.

Because it’s not the cash that you make at the end of the process, that is the measure of your personal worth.

Do you know what the measure is?

When you can say to yourself with a straight face, “I did my best and I’m always doing my best”.

Because people who do their best develop a character of excellence.

They do their best, regardless of whether people are looking at it, whether they’re getting paid for it or not, and even if they’re not getting paid extra, they still do their best because they are the best.

And guess what happens?

The universe sets up and pays attention because your character has changed and pretty soon you will get the reward that you need.

The way to do this is to go to work.

This is how you put yourself first.

Unfortunately, a lot of people twist this very common need.

And ultimately, it is this necessity to put ourselves first by resolving to do the least.

In other words, they’re saying to themselves, “For me to put myself first I have to put everybody else last”.

Absolutely wrong.

When people are depending on you, at your job, put yourself first by doing the best job there.

Do think people will notice?

Of course, they will.

Sure there will be resentment from some because they want you to fail like them.

They want you to chase your tail like them, they want you to be another face in the crowd just like them, they have resigned to the bottom, you don’t want to deal with those people.

That attitude is infectious and if you are sick and tired of being stuck at the bottom with no change day after day, you know what to do.

You need to start being excellent not just at work, not just at school, but in your relationships at church, everywhere you go.

It starts with the decision.

This is how you put yourself first.

Don’t shortchange yourself by believing the lie that many people tell themselves that to put themselves first means that they have to put everybody second.

Wrong.

When you put everybody else first in terms of the organization, in terms of your work, you eventually will come out ahead.

Learn to trust yourself

Learn to trust yourself
It’s very easy to define ourselves based on our failures and our setbacks.

We do this all the time and it’s no surprise then that why we rob ourselves of the victory that we could have otherwise achieved.

It doesn’t matter what area of your life you’re examining, you could have been more victorious if not for personal self-trust issues.

Trust yourself, you have to begin with your assumptions.

A lot of people start with the wrong premise.

They focus on their frustrations, they’re not making as much money as they can, their relationships are not as fulfilling as they should be, and the list goes on and on.

But what if I told you that you are looking at this from the wrong end?

Because when you do that you’re focusing on what’s missing.

You’re focusing on what’s wrong, you’re focusing on what’s defective.

What if you focus on what is going right.

I don’t mean to remind you of the obvious, but the mere fact that you live in the United States of America means you are living a much better life than close to 80% of the planet.

Did you know that there are many parts of the world where people make less than $1 a day?

It’s hard to believe but that’s the reality of the world we live in today.

You are blessed.

And even if you don’t live in the United States, the fact that you are in good enough health to be able to read this blog post means you have so many opportunities in front of you.

Opportunities that you’re probably blind to because you assume that good health is the least you can have.

Well, you can’t make that assumption.

What if I told you that many people in this world wake up in excruciating pain?

In fact, they face they experienced so much pain that they want to be their last day on planet Earth.

That’s how bad it is.

So stop giving yourself excuses regarding why you can’t chase after your dreams, why you can’t make certain changes in your life, why you can’t do this and can’t do that.

Those are excuses.

You know you will never run out of excuses.

Trust yourself.

Say to yourself with conviction “If I made it this far, what’s stopping me from taking it all the way”.

Don’t be afraid to start at the bottom

Don't be afraid to start at the bottom
As I mentioned in my description of the nitrogen cycle, worms are crucial to the cycle of life on planet Earth.

You may be feeling that your work is unappreciated, you may even feel invisible in whatever organization that you’re a member of but you are important.

You are crucial.

Just as worms are crucial to the continuing sustenance of life on planet Earth, you are crucial.

So act like somebody who is crucial.

This is how you move up in life.

This is how people give you a good reputation.

Reputations are not taken by people.

Instead, they are earned.

You have to do something to develop a reputation.

It’s not a door prize.

You don’t get it just by showing up.

You get respect when you show up, but not a good reputation.

You have to earn it.

Stop acting like a worm.

Instead, know your importance and act like somebody was important.

Increase the quality of your work.

Pump up the volume of your output.

Give valuable feedback and most importantly, teach what you have learned.

This is how you become an asset in whatever area of your life.

What does it mean to kill worms in my dream?

What does it mean to kill worms in my dream?
When you see yourself killing worms out of disgust or out of some sort of process, your subconscious is trying to communicate that you have lost touch with your importance.

You’re so focused on the “big things” in life that you have forgotten the importance of beginnings.

Worms are at the beginning of the life process, they break things down, and they make life possible.

You’re tired of that.

You’re tired of always starting again, you’re tired of being on the ground floor or whatever organization you join, and you’re tired of being the newbie.

The problem is you’re letting go of the power of the worm, the power of the beginning, the power of sustenance.

Do you really want to do that?

Because what is the alternative?

The alternative is to focus on what is complete, what is formed, and what is perfect.

Well, if you’re completely honest, you’ve been doing that already for a large chunk of your life, and now’s the time to ask yourself what has been the results?

What does it mean to dream about eating worms?

What does it mean to dream about eating worms?
As disgusting as some people might find this image, this indicates reconnecting with your comfort level by starting over again.

It also indicates an increasing comfort with the idea of always starting from the first principles.

This is actually one of the most powerful things you could do because a lot of people enter situations whether it’s a relationship, whether it’s work, whether it’s business, or whatnot, with an assumption that the way things are going is the way things are meant to be.

They assume that what they start out with is perfect.

But in truth, those are improvised.

One of my favorite songs is Imagine by John Lennon.

If you pay close attention to the lyrics, it’s not advocating atheism or the end of religion or the abolition of private property or any of those things.

Instead, he’s using those as examples to shine a spotlight on our ability to imagine, because our imagination actually sets the foundation for what we choose to perceive as real.

When you eat worms in your dream you have an open mind again.

You are looking to challenge first principles and assumptions.

This is just a fancy way of saying that you now have the capacity or at least the consciousness to think outside of the box that you are in.

A lot of people live very frustrated lives because they are trapped in a box and they don’t know that they’re in a box.

You know that you’re in a box and you are looking at first principles so you are saying, “What if I reimagined certain things in my life?”, “What if this happened instead of this?”, “What if I did this instead of what I normally do?”.

Do you see how this works?

That’s how you break that cycle of insanity of doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

You are on the right track if you’re dreaming of eating worms.

What is the significance of a white worm?

What is the significance of a white worm?
If you see a white worm in your dream and it’s not a maggot, this indicates that you are able to see opportunities where people can only see decay, confusion, and collapse.

This is a great sign.

This indicates that you will be able to see your situation from a completely fresh set of eyes and have the courage needed to do what you need to do at the right time with the right people in the right circumstances to produce the right results.

But the key to all of this is you must trust yourself.

Understand that you have the intuition and the life experience and the connection to the Unformed deep within you.

What is the meaning of green worms in your dream?

What is the meaning of green worms in your dream?
There’s an indication that somebody in your close circle of friends, or even a family member is envious of you.

Your subconscious is using the all too familiar green color of a worm to indicate that it is on to this person.

Be clear about why people would want to envy you.

The truth is, they’re not envying you for yourself, they’re envying you for who they think you are.

And if you can wrap your head around this then there is nothing to worry about.

Because as long as you stay true to yourself and as long as you remain connected to their ability to reach out to the Unformed within you nobody can touch you because at this point you’ve given yourself permission to succeed.

But if you’re the type of person who is so weak that you feel that you have to please everybody then don’t be surprised if you end up sabotaging yourself.

Remember, nobody can make you feel lousy without your consent.

What does it mean to dream about a worm in a piece of fruit?

What does it mean to dream about a worm in a piece of fruit?
In whatever organization you’re in, there is going to be some sort of misunderstanding.

In fact, they’re probably already long-standing misunderstandings and it may be coming to a head.

This can take many different twists and turns.

Sometimes it involves sex or sexual issues, but a lot of the time this involves feelings of frustration.

There will be people talking behind each other’s backs and engaging in all sorts of emotional manipulation.

At the end of the day, they’re just using their relationships with each other as a staging area for something that they hope would be “better”.

This is not a good place to be.

The good news is your attitude is infectious.

If you are surrounded by toxic people, chances are you have a little bit of toxicity yourself.

Birds of a feather do flock together.

So if you want to attract better people, be one of those better people.
