Of all the things that you could dream of, one of the most troubling if not disgusting is to dream of urine.
Seeing pee in your dream is not exactly calming nor is it pleasant for most people.
Still, if you dream of urine, it pays to pick apart this dream imagery because your subconscious might be trying to send you strong messages regarding your waking consciousness.
The General Meaning of Dreaming of Urine
When you see urine pulled up, your subconscious is indicating the consequences of past decisions.
This is neutral in itself because urine that comes out of a healthy body is sterile.
It doesn’t have any pathogens in it.
It won’t make you sick if you drink it for some reason because it is sterile.
With that said, usually when people see urine all pulled up — maybe you’re looking at a urinal that hasn’t been flushed — there’s a strong odor.
But the odor doesn’t come from the urine itself.
It came from the urine being pulled, stagnant, and allowed to break down into ammonia.
When you’re seeing these types of images in your dream, your subconscious is trying to send you a powerful message about your potential.
You have control over your potential.
You can unleash it.
You can polish it.
You can challenge it and scale it up to the next level.
You can do so many things with it.
But unfortunately, like the Parable of the Talents in the Christian Bible, most people simply choose to sit on their talent and potential.
Like the third servant, they believe that the goal of life is to just preserve whatever it is that you were born with.
Put simply, you want to preserve your life.
As much as possible, you don’t want to change anything.
You just want to hang on.
Why?
Trying to gain, trying to grow, trying to change — all of these can involve pain.
Change is scary.
It’s easy to get excited about positive change, but what if things head south?
What if certain things happened that you didn’t expect and your best-laid plans all crumble?
It can be emotionally crushing.
No wonder so many people just want to hang on to what they have.
That potential that you were born with never gets developed.
When you dream of urine, your subconscious is trying to communicate to you what you’ve done with your potential.
It also is trying to send you messages regarding your attitude towards your potential.
Is it something that you want to avoid?
Is it something that you feel that you have to apologize for?
Is it something you feel guilty about not developing?
There are many different coping mechanisms just as when you see uring pulled up and you smell the ammonia.
You see the thick, yellowish liquid, and all you can walk away with is a sense of disgust or some sort of unpleasant reaction.
This doesn’t have to be!
It doesn’t have to work out this way.
Do you know why?
Urine is actually fertilized.
It contains urea, which has a high concentration of nitrogen.
Plantlife needs nitrogen to grow and flourish.
When handled well, urine can actually fertilize bumper crops.
You start out with a little.
But when you add urine, you fertilize it, and out comes an amazing crop.
You make money hand over fist.
You end up with way more than what you started with.
Do you see how this works?
That’s how potential is supposed to play out in our lives.
We’re not supposed to sit on it, deny it, or pretend that it’s not there.
At the end of the day, whether you believe in God or not and whether you are religious or spiritual or not, there will be some sort of accounting.
And just as in the Parable of the Talents, the master was happy when he saw his first two servants end up with more than what they started with.
He was upset with the third servant, who was just focused on hanging on to what he’s got.
This is not about the greed of the Master.
This is really not about money at all!
This is about the kind of life you are living.
Remember, for you to even be born, so many miracles have to take place.
Did you know that for a sperm to survive the vaginal tract of a woman, it had to avoid all sorts of acids and had to compete with other sperm?
That’s why most sperm die!
And for a woman to even ovulate a healthy egg, so many hormone reactions have to line up for the embryo to even implant.
Everything has to be just right.
I’m talking about pH levels and temperature.
And for the embryo to be properly sustained in the uterus, the proper blood oxygen level has to be there and the proper blood flow has to be there.
I think you get the picture.
Miracle upon miracle had to line up for you to be even born.
And when you were born, you have experienced so many struggles, both seen and unseen.
You could’ve been hit by a bus.
Your childhood home could’ve gone up in flames.
But here you are healthy enough to read this blog post.
And what have you done with your potential?
This is the uncomfortable question that the Universe is always asking us.
We try to find many different intricate and elaborate ways to duck the question.
But let me tell you.
When you’re doing work and you just do barely enough not to get fired, you’re not unleashing your potential.
When you’re in a relationship and you barely challenge each other to a deeper emotional bond so you more fully know each other, you’re not living up to your potential.
When you’re studying and you just barely do the assignment or you’ve read very lightly, you’re not living up to your potential.
I could go on and on.
A dream of urine is very powerful because it can either signify a waste of potential or the beginning of amazing new things thanks to a life lived with purpose.
The answer to these questions of course can only be given by you.
What Does It Mean to Dream Of Drinking Urine?
One of the most disgusting dreams you could ever have is to dream of urine.
But as I have mentioned above, when it comes to disease, you’re actually in good shape because normal urine is sterile.
It has no bacteria.
I know it sounds disgusting, but if you get the urine from a healthy person with no urinary tract infection, it is safe to drink.
But when you see somebody drinking urine in your dream, this indicates strong negative emotions regarding the concept of potential.
What you’re really seeing is a projection dream.
You’re the one who is having these strong reactions because you don’t want to be asked the tough question in the section above.
Guess what!
Most people don’t want to be asked that question.
There’s a reason why there’s a spike in the number of suicides in the United States and other countries for people aged 40–60.
You may be thinking that this is a statistical fluke because usually when people reach that age, they’re usually more established.
They have established businesses or established careers.
Their income tends to be much higher than when they started their adult working life.
All those things may be true.
But in reality, people are crushed by one common question and some cannot take it to the point that they take their own lives.
I’m talking about the question “what have you done with your life?”
If you’re in your 20s, you shouldn’t be asking this question because you’re just trying to figure things out.
Society is going to give you a pass because you are young.
You have your whole life ahead of you.
In your 30s, you probably have laid down routes or you’ve tried to lay down routes and you’re kind of in transition.
Maybe you’ve made some mistakes in the past.
But things are still shaping up.
In your 40s, things are more static so it’s getting really close.
By the time in your 50s, society has a completely different expectation of you.
You’re supposed to be established.
You’re supposed to be settled.
You’re supposed to be stable.
But what if things didn’t pan out that way?
And this is where you see that spike in suicides starting in the 40s.
Recently, US suicide statistics have been skewed towards younger-aged cohorts because of the fentanyl and opioid epidemic currently gripping the country.
But when you look at past decades, it’s usually people in their 40s to 50s who commit a disproportionate amount of suicides.
When you see yourself or somebody drinking pee in your dream, this is a clear indication of your revulsion and discomfort with questions involving potential as well as being made to feel that you’re second-guessing yourself.
You’ve chosen your career.
You’ve chosen a specific life path.
And sometimes the most depressing that could happen is to look back and compare or have second thoughts.
Sadly, there is no right or wrong answer here.
You have to confront this issue.
And if you’re not happy with the answer, the good news is that there’s still time to come up with something that will make you feel better.
All is not lost.
But you have to give yourself that hope by first asking the question, coming up with uncomfortable answers, and then making a decision.
What Does It Mean to See a Dog Peeing?
Nature has a way of unfolding in front of us regardless of our best efforts at redefining nature.
I’m not talking about dogs peeing.
That’s just the mental metaphor that your subconscious is using.
I’m talking about human nature.
One of the most common ideas that people have is that when you get together a lot of people and everybody agrees that they will all produce food and share everything and everybody would be happy, things almost always don’t work out.
Unless you’re living in some sort of religious cult community where you are united by spirituality, social cooperation usually breaks down despite the best intentions.
It is a denial of self-interest.
To paraphrase the famous statement of economist Adam Smith, the bread that you ate this morning and the meat that you enjoyed for lunch were not prepared by the baker or the butcher for your benefit.
That is just a side effect.
They did it because they wanted money for themselves.
They were taking care of themselves.
They were pursuing their own interests, but by doing so, they helped you become better off because now there’s food on the table.
You have more food to choose from.
Do you see how self-interest works?
When you’re seeing a dog pee in your dream, your subconscious is trying to tell you that maybe your assumptions and expectations about human interests are not quite right.
If you do not adjust these, you may have a tough time unleashing your full potential.
Another common false assumption people have is the zero-sum game idea.
Put simply, imagine the world’s resources as a pie.
There’s only one pie.
For my slice to get bigger, your slice necessarily has to get smaller.
Do you believe in this?
It may be holding you back because, in reality, there are many different pies at different levels.
And yes, people can expand the pie, oftentimes not just by giving stuff away or sharing stuff, but also by keeping stuff for themselves.
The more they take care of themselves, the more they inadvertently expand the pie.
Do you think the people who invented the Internet even had a clue as to how many lives would benefit from it?
No!
They were just focused on a government project!
They were focused on getting that fat payday from the research department of the US Department of Defense.
But by pursuing our interests, we inadvertently make the world a better place.
Now compare this with the system where it says “from everybody according to their abilities, to everybody according to their needs.”
You instantly have a mess.
Why?
Our needs will always outpace our ability to provide value to others.
It’s no contest.
So when you focus on trying to reevaluate your life assumptions and expectations, don’t dismiss this dream of seeing a dog peeing.
It is speaking directly to your misreading or possible false impressions regarding human nature.
What Does It Mean to Pee Blood in Your Dreams?
When you pee blood, it makes for a very traumatizing sight.
It also is a very powerful and metaphorical image from your subconscious.
It indicates that you are in a situation where you are bargaining away your life essence, and you don’t even know it.
What is the essence of life?
It’s not what you think!
It’s not your diploma.
It’s not the money in your bank account.
It’s not your looks or your sexual capacity.
It’s not even your brains!
What is the essence of life?
Time.
If you need proof of this, just think about what happens when you invest time into any area of your life.
Let’s say you invest time into your body and you hit the gym.
You work out in the morning.
You run around the block.
What do you think happens after 6 months of consistent effort?
That’s right!
You look better, and you’re healthier.
If you invest time in your mind by reading at least one book a week or watching lots of informative YouTube channels, after 6 months, you probably would be very fun to talk to because you’re going to be one of the most knowledgeable people in the room.
Your skill base might also be more marketable because you know stuff that other people don’t or can’t be bothered to learn.
If you invest time in your relationships, they become more intimate, stronger, more accepting, and will most likely outlive a lot of the ups and downs and twists and turns of our daily lives.
Do you see how powerful time is?
Yet, this is one resource that a lot of people assume that they have plenty of.
I don’t blame you if you’re in your 20s, thinking that you have enough time.
When you’re in your 20s, you can easily be forgiven for thinking that you’re basically immortal.
But if you are in your 50s and 60s, you’d begin to see glimmers of just how precious this resource is because some of your friends are beginning to die.
Personally, I know several people who have died from cancer, COVID, accidents, and even crime.
Pay careful attention to what you do with your time.
See it for the precious and expensive resource that it is.
Because think about it, the main reason why you even have a job or why people hire you for freelance work is because they want to lease your time.
That’s how precious it is!
That’s why Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, and Jeff Bezos have thousands upon thousands of people working for them.
They’re leasing other people’s time.
In that way, they can basically use other people’s time to carry out their plans.
They turn money into time which creates even more money.
Do you see how this works?
That’s how important your time is.
So when you’re seeing yourself or somebody else pee blood in your dreams, this is a wake-up call.
That is life essence coming out of you or somebody else’s body, and it’s being wasted.
That time is going nowhere good.
What Does It Mean to Dream Of Peeing on Yourself in Public?
One of the most embarrassing things that you could ever experience is to find yourself peeing in public.
People do this out of sheer embarrassment.
Sometimes they are under pressure.
Or, in many cases, they hop on a public bus or subway train, but they didn’t relieve themselves earlier.
Maybe the trip took longer than expected, and then there they are with a big wet spot on a part of their body.
Embarrassing, right?
When you dream of yourself peeing in public, your subconscious is trying to communicate to you the power of confidence.
There’s a certain side of you that is embarrassed about another part of you.
You may be embarrassed about your job, you may be embarrassed about your net worth, and you may not want people to know about the status of your romantic life.
Whatever the case may be, there’s a part of you that you want to suppress because it brings embarrassment.
Your subconscious is using a contrasting dream image to shine a spotlight on this mechanism.
It’s trying to tell you that you have to stop hiding.
You have to understand that if you want to live a more effective life, you have to deal with the things that you’re embarrassed about.
Some things are easier to handle than others.
For instance, what if you were born into a poor family and everybody around you is rich because you have moved up?
Maybe you went to a good school, then you got a job in a great company.
Eventually, you moved up the social ladder.
If you’re embarrassed about where you come from, please understand that a lot of people see social mobility, not as a liability but as a source of pride.
Because so many people are born in less than ideal circumstances, but you did the best with what you had, and you clawed your way out.
That is worth saluting.
That is worth congratulating because most people stay where they are.
Most people let the past dictate their future.
You didn’t!
You refused to take no for an answer, and you clawed your way out.
Celebrate that!
Look for ways to reprogram your mind regarding the things that you are embarrassed about.
Now, please keep in mind that some things are worth being embarrassed about.
For example, if you had certain dangerous addiction that harm people around you, you need to work on that.
The first step is to accept that you are an addict or you have certain habits.
The next step is to get professional help.
And in that setting, maybe in group counseling, you can then let it all out and stop being embarrassed because the more you hold it in and try to hide it from people, the less likely the therapy will work.
What Is the Meaning of Urine Dreams in Persian Culture?
If you’re Persian or you’re wondering what urine or peeing dreams mean in that specific culture, it indicates easy money.
Just as feces or manure images in the German cultural context usually mean money, the same goes with pee in certain parts of Middle Eastern culture.
This indicates easy money.
Why?
Everybody needs to pee.
Also, pee has a high volume of urea, which contains nitrogen, a gas that plants need to grow.
It’s easy to see the connection and the parallels between personal human waste and money.
Just like feces can be converted into fertilizer that makes plants grow, the same goes for urine.
It’s easy to see why in Persian culture, urine is seen as easy money.
Why?
You already have access to it.
In fact, you produce a significant amount of it every single day.
If you’re Persian or you are influenced by Persian culture, your subconscious, by using these images, is trying to motivate you.
It wants you to use your circumstances no matter how challenging they may be so they work to your advantage instead of against you.
This brings to mind when I was working at an insurance company.
It was one of my first jobs, and I wasn’t getting paid much at all.
But I love the job because they gave me a company car.
My job was to adjust cars that have been in accidents.
The insurance company that I worked for made sure that each claim is properly adjusted to prevent fraud because a lot of people would say they got into an accident and the whole front side of the car got wrecked.
Without pictures and without sending a person there, there is a high chance of fraud, and the losses could amount to millions if not tens of millions.
That’s my job as the guy they sent to visually inspect these cars to make sure that the claimed damage is actually there and the dollar figures are in the ballpark.
As you can well imagine, it took a lot of training, but I felt I wasn’t getting paid as well as I should.
That was my bad attitude.
And just like anybody with a bad attitude, I didn’t see the opportunities in front of me.
So one day, this lady claimed that her BMW rims got chipped or warped.
There’s some sort of cosmetic damage so I looked at them and there are shallow scratches on them
According to her recent policy, she can, if she wants to, claim a new set of such rims against the comprehensive coverage section of her insurance policy.
I called my boss and he said:
“Do whatever you want with the rims. I don’t care. You can throw them in the dumpster.
You can put them in the back of your car. Just make sure she doesn’t drive off with them.”
He was just scared of fraud and rightfully so.
So according to the direct guidance of my boss, I had the service shop take off the rims, and put them in the back of my car.
I wrote a check clearance, which is a voucher that the insurance company will honor, to cover a new set of rims.
The lady was beside herself and enjoying herself, and I was just trudging along right now with these garbage rims in the back of my car.
And then it hit me!
This is an opportunity.
I got the clearance from my boss.
As far as the company is concerned, those rims are trash.
I can do whatever I want with them.
I can leave them on the side of the road if I wanted to.
I’m sure other adjusters have done that.
So I took out an ad and not even a day passed, people bought those rims from me for $900.
That’s when I realized that I invested only what maybe 10 minutes of my time.
Opportunities are all around me!
And here I was thinking I have a shit job.
I wasn’t getting paid what I thought I was worth.
And while I didn’t stay with that company, that experience enabled me to change my worldview.
I saw that the world is full of opportunities: buy low, sell high!
Look for places where things are abundant and sell them in places where those things are not as abundant.
In other words, opportunities are all around you.
It’s all a mindset.
And it also dawned on me that I will not live a comfortable life working for somebody else.
I also would not live a fulfilling life working for somebody else because the way I feel fulfilled is when I see an opportunity and I work with it in such a way that benefits people.
It’s a beautiful thing.
And the fact that I make money after the process is just extra gravy.
There’s almost a magical feel to it.
You feel like a magician where you start with almost nothing, and you come up with something that people buy with real money.
Good stuff!
It applies to crypto nowadays so if you’re looking for great opportunities, especially when people are going through distress (and crypto is definitely going in distress right now), there is opportunity there.
Just don’t get ripped off by letting your greed get the better of you.
But this is the point of pee equating to money or manure equating to money.
It doesn’t matter what culture.
Maybe it’s Persian, maybe it’s German or Greek.
Opportunities are everywhere.
The only difference between shit and gold is your mindset.
Because if you have the right mindset, you can see that pile of shit as nasty, stinky, and slimy as it may be, actually is money in disguise.
So what shit is floating in your life or what disgusting pee is overflowing in your life that you can actually turn into money?
Fortunately or unfortunately, the only person that can answer this is you.
