If you’ve been experiencing a dream of pumpkin images and it’s not Halloween yet, you might be thinking that you’re having nonsense nighttime images.
You might even be under the impression that this is as useful as dreaming of unicorns or maybe even dragons.
You might want to rethink your conclusion.
Your dream of pumpkin images might be pointing to a lot of important truths and crucial decisions that you may have to make in the coming days.
The General Meaning of Pumpkin Dreams
When you dream of a pumpkin, you’re generally dealing with the outcome of a previous effort.
The focus of pumpkin dreams isn’t much on intentionality the way dreaming of potatoes does.
Instead, this dream imagery focuses more on the process of setting your plans in motion.
In particular, it’s about how your emotional state when planning plays a big role in whether your hopes, wishes, and dreams will actually materialize.
There has to be enough space there for the random chance of life to make its presence felt and also to “work its magic.”
As you probably already know, there’s a lot of things that you can’t explain in the real world.
It seems so random.
Despite our best efforts at planning and anticipating surprises, “black swans” can and do appear.
And when they do, everything is up in the air, so to speak.
When you dream of pumpkin images, your subconscious is trying to teach you the importance of your emotions when you are going through the process of goal or dream fulfillment.
It’s important to be guided by logic and reason, but if you discount or ignore your emotional state, you’ll probably get an outcome that you didn’t bargain for or you didn’t expect.
It’s still an outcome.
There’s still something that happened after you have planted the seed.
But it may come as a surprise.
This is an experience shared by a lot of people.
Emotional decision-making is actually a big part of people’s lives.
According to behavioral psychologists and researchers, a large chunk of our decision-making on a day-to-day basis is actually dictated by our emotions.
In fact, a lot of us make important buying decisions based completely on impulse.
How we were feeling at that moment in time may be very different from another moment, and this difference can explain our buying patterns.
Interestingly enough, when people were asked to explain why they bought certain things or why they made certain decisions, they come up with all sorts of rational or even logical-sounding explanations.
But in reality, they were impulsive.
They were driven by their emotional state at that given time and at that given place.
This is the power of emotions in shaping, directing, and informing your day-to-day decisions in your daily life.
When you dream about pumpkin images, your subconscious is trying to draw your attention to emotional decision-making processes.
This is not a call or an invitation for you to completely discount your emotional side or set it aside.
Instead, be more aware of it.
If you don’t like the results, please understand that a lot of it stems from your emotional side.
Now that you are properly informed, hopefully, you can make the right changes later on.
After all, if you don’t like getting the same result over and over again, you might want to change what you do.
What Does It Mean to Dream About Green Pumpkins?
When you’re dreaming about green pumpkins and you are thinking of harvesting them, your subconscious is saying that the reason why you have problems in your waking life is that you have come to a gunfight with a knife.
You’re using the wrong tools to make certain decisions.
The results are all too predictable.
In fact, none of this is a shock to you.
Your subconscious is telling you that you are making your own misfortune because you’re not properly prepared.
Come up with the right tools.
Come up with a more logical approach to how you’re doing things when it comes to a certain area of your life.
Otherwise, you’re going to get the same results again and again.
This is especially true with people who wonder why they keep ending up with “the wrong person.”
It’s not a mystery at all!
To paraphrase an old saying, if you get kicked out of one bar, it’s probably the bar’s fault; if you get kicked out of five bars, it’s still probably the bars’ fault.
But if you get kicked out of a hundred bars, it’s probably your fault.
What Does It Mean to Dream Of Rotten Pumpkins?
When you see yourself surrounded by rotten pumpkins and many of these are showing molds on their outer skin, your subconscious is trying to shine a spotlight on how your emotional decision-making process leads you to make false friends.
Your emotional decision-making process clouds your judgment when it comes to your ability to read people.
There’s a very big chance that you have a lot of frenemies.
These are enemies who act like friends.
You may share the same common goal, and that’s why you’re friends with them in the first place.
But it doesn’t run deep.
They don’t truly want to know you.
They don’t truly want to accept you.
They definitely don’t feel they belong when they are with you.
But they persist in having some sort of relationship with you because there’s something in it for them.
Once they get what they’re looking for, they drop you like a bad habit.
Welcome to the real world!
Does this mean that they’re bad people?
No, that’s the shocking part!
And the more you engage in moral judgments of dividing the world into good or bad people, then the more you are left out in the cold because it’s all about self-interest.
You have a clear idea of what their self-interest is, and you are a tool to help them get there.
Now the question is, how do you deal with this?
Do you feel betrayed and let down?
Worse yet, do you let this define you and convince you that you are less useful than you really are?
Or, do you resolve to understand how the game is played and seek to benefit from the fact that they are trying to benefit from you?
What Does It Mean to Dream About Pumpkin Seeds?
You have to pick your seeds carefully.
This applies to your emotional life, and it definitely applies to agriculture.
Not all seeds are created equal.
Some seeds are high-yielding varieties because they are hybrid seeds.
They will easily, given the right amount of fertilizer and pesticides, yield ten times or even a hundred times more than “heirloom varieties.”
That’s how powerful hybrid seeds are!
But I’m using that example to bring to your attention the importance of intentionality in picking your projects.
When you’re dreaming about pumpkin sees, your subconscious is trying to communicate with you project selection issues.
Not all opportunities lead to the same place.
Not all opportunities have the same ingredients or the same basic internal dynamics.
Some are very hard at first, but once you get past a certain milestone, it’s easy street the rest of the way.
Others are deceptively easy.
It’s as if you’re getting all this money or getting all this love and emotional attention for very little input, and you get used to it quickly.
You drop your guard, and before you know it.
Bam!
It hits you.
It becomes hard all of a sudden.
Be careful about the seeds that you select and plant.
When you’re dreaming of pumpkin seeds, your subconscious is trying to tell you about the importance of thinking through the opportunities in front of you because those paths are not what you think they are.
Look beyond the surface.
What Does It Mean to Dream About Eating Pumpkin Pie?
You are in the process of entering a very interesting period of your life, and you probably already know this.
Maybe you put in an application for college or you have been shopping for different employers.
Or, you may be even in the process of putting up a start-up.
Whatever the specifics of your situation may be, just as a pumpkin pie eating event is a lot of fun, you’re going to go through a period where there’s a lot of activity, a lot of interesting new people, and a lot of conversations to keep track of.
The question is “are you going to be able to handle all of this in an efficient and organized way?”
Your subconscious is telling you that if you want to eat your pumpkin pie and enjoy it without becoming a messy slob in the process, you have to have a plan coming in.
This is not some sort of buzzkill message.
Instead, it’s a message of hope.
It’s a positive message to help you get the most out of the eventful times up ahead.
What Does It Mean to See a Giant Pumpkin in Your Dream?
If you’ve ever gone to a farm festival in the US or in Western Europe, I suggest you go.
It’s really amazing because they have crops that would blow your mind.
These are examples of the world’s biggest eggplant, biggest tomato, and biggest potato.
These events are actually amazing testimonies to the miracles of modern agriculture.
There’s a lot of science related to agriculture, to say the least.
This is why when you see a very big pumpkin in your dream, don’t be all that shocked because your subconscious is not exaggerating and it’s not pulling improbable scenarios out of the thin blue air.
No!
There are gigantic, Goliath pumpkins in the real world.
That’s how powerful agricultural science is.
If this is the main motif of your dream, your subconscious is telling you to not let your success get to your head.
It takes a lot of planning, intentionality, focus, and of course ability to raise resources to come up with a giant pumpkin.
Congratulations are in order.
But do not let it get to your head because this type of dream appears when the fall that comes after pride is lurking around the corner.
When people get too big for their britches, so to speak, they end up overextending themselves.
They end up trusting their formula to the point that they become blind to the variables facing them so they fail.
I’m not talking about just falling down and scratching your knee kind of failure.
I’m talking about big-time failure.
While it’s great that you’re able to achieve big success in your life, don’t let it get into your head.
“Stay hungry, stay foolish,” as Steve Jobs famously said in his Stanford commencement speech.
That’s how you keep on your toes.
That’s how you milk every ounce of result from the opportunities that materialize in your life.
That’s how you stay ahead of the eight ball of life because that eight ball brings disaster.
But if you think that you’re this magician that can make things happen out of thin air (by magician, I’m referring to the theories of Carl Jung), then you’re in for a big surprise.
Pride defeats even the most skilled and successful person.
Either you end up settling for cents on the dollar, or you just end up losing big time.
What Does It Mean to See Yourself in a Pumpkin Field?
You are surrounded by the processes you set in motion to achieve your goals in different areas of your life.
There’s a lot going on if you truly open your eyes.
This all doesn’t have to confuse you.
You just have to have a system to properly organize and keep track of everything.
If you’re able to do that, then there’s a good chance that all the things that you have planned will come to pass and you won’t be disappointed.
In fact, you may even be pleasantly surprised because the system has enabled you to apply effort in an even and contextual way.
If only people did this more regularly!
Unfortunately, when people achieve success and are asked to explain their success, the best that they could do is to give partial answers.
In reality, they really don’t know because there are so many different variables working together in different periods of time during the process.
It’s hard to pinpoint one specific element that pretty much guaranteed the achievement or success.
This is where systems come in.
If you want to achieve predictable outcomes, you have to have a system.
This is the big difference between the typical mom and dad burger stands in the United States and Mcdonald’s or Burger King.
You may not be a big fan of the culinary virtues of McDonald’s.
But we could all agree that McDonald’s is successful because it has a system of delivering a minimum level of product quality and customer satisfaction.
It’s not only able to do this in thousands of stores within the continental United States but all over the world.
Systems work, and I’m sorry to report if you’re not a big fan of this kind of thing.
Systems win!
If you want to be happier in life in whatever area of your personal life, think in terms of systems.
You have to have a system in terms of clarifying and explaining and sharing your thoughts.
You have to have a system in terms of feeling and giving love.
You have to have a system when it comes to putting together plans and pursuing them to their logical conclusion.
Systems win!
Inspiration doesn’t last all that long.
Passion runs out fast.
